CAEL – EXAM PREPARATION OVERVIEW

What is CAEL?

The CAEL stands for Canadian Academic English Language Test. The test is specifically designed to assess the English language proficiency of students who intend to pursue studies at Canadian post-secondary institutions. Test focuses on real-life situations, making it useful for students by preparing them well for language challenges in their studies and everyday life.

The CAEL Test exclusively evaluates language skills related to academic topics and situations found in Canadian post-secondary institutions. It operates entirely in a computerized format, providing flexibility for individuals to take the exam either at a testing centre or remotely from the convenience of their homes. There is no pass or fail for the CAEL test. It provides scores for each component and an overall band score. You should check the English language requirements of the specific institution you are applying to.
