What is PTE?
Pearson Test of English (PTE) is a computer-based test administered by Pearson PLC Group to evaluate the English language proficiency of individuals for study, work, and visa requirements.
The scores of PTE Academic examine the candidate's competency in speaking, writing, reading, and listening. The scores are accepted by more than 3000 universities and colleges worldwide. PTE Academic is valid for two years, and candidates can take the test as often as they want.
PTE - Exam Pattern
Total Test Duration: 2 hours Sections: 3 Total Questions: 20 Score Range: 10–90 Test Fee: INR 14,700 Speaking & Writing Section: This section comprises seven questions to measure the competency of the candidate's skills, primarily speaking and writing. The test taker can take 54–67 minutes to complete the section. Some questions in this section include summarising written text, describing images, essays, etc. Reading Section: This section comprises five different questions to measure the competency of a candidate's skills, primarily in the area of reading. The test taker can take 29–30 minutes to complete the section. Some questions in this section include re-ordering paragraphs, filling in the blanks, multiple choice - multiple answers, etc. Listening Section: This section comprises eight different questions to measure the competency of a candidate's skills, primarily in the area of listening. The test taker can take 30–43 minutes to complete the section. Some questions in this section include summarizing spoken text, highlighting incorrect words, writing from dictation etc. |

There is no limit to taking the PTE; however, you must wait for a minimum of 5 days from the last test date before booking a new test.

The scores will be available in your account five days after the test date. You will receive an email about the availability of the results with instructions on the method to access your results.

Candidates rescheduling the test 14 days or more before the test date need not pay any additional fee; 8-13 days before the test date, 50% of the rescheduled test fee and seven days or less full fee for the new test.
Candidates who cancel the test 14 days or more before the test date will get a complete refund 8-13 before the test date, a 50% refund of the fee and no refund for seven days or less before the test.
